Plans & billing
Ploxir has four plans. A plan belongs to your account, not to any single workspace — one subscription covers every workspace you own, and a workspace's limits always come from its owner's plan. During public beta, payment for your chosen plan is waived: you pick a plan and pay $0 for it while the beta runs, and sending feedback locks in a first-year discount for when paid plans launch. The live pricing table is at /pricing.
Plans & prices
| Plan | Price | Workspaces you can own | Projects / workspace | Members / workspace |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 3 | 1 (just you) |
| Pro | $29/mo · $290/yr | 3 | 10 | 1 (just you) |
| Team | $79/mo · $790/yr | 10 | unlimited | 10 |
Prices are in USD. Annual billing is 12 months for the price of 10 ($290 instead of 12 × $29 for Pro). The member limit includes the owner — Free and Pro workspaces are single-player; Team fits 10 people including you.
Only workspaces, projects, and members are limited. Everything else is identical on every plan: all integrations, unlimited sources and widgets, real-time webhooks, sync cadence, and history retention. There is no feature gating between tiers.
Your plan covers the workspaces you own
A workspace's effective limits come from its owner's account plan. Invited members consume no quota of their own, and their plan never affects a workspace they don't own. Worked examples:
- You're on Team and own the "Acme" workspace → Acme gets unlimited projects and up to 10 members, no matter what plans those members are on.
- A teammate on Free is invited into Acme → they work under Acme's Team limits there, it costs them nothing, and their own personal workspace stays on Free limits.
- You're on Free and get invited into three Team workspaces → none of them count against your 1-workspace allowance. Only workspaces you own count.
The billing page (Settings → Billing in any workspace) shows your account's plan, subscription status, and renewal date, plus usage meters for workspaces you own and projects in the current workspace. When you're viewing a workspace you don't own, it also tells you whose plan covers it.
Limits gate creation only
Limits are enforced at creation time and nowhere else. Hitting a cap shows a plain-language reason (e.g. "Free plan includes 3 projects per workspace. Upgrade to add more.") instead of creating the thing. Going over a limit — say, after a downgrade — never locks or deletes existing workspaces, projects, or data; you just can't create new ones past the cap.
Member seats are gated at both ends: sending an invitation checks the seat cap, and accepting one re-checks it (so a stack of pending invites can't overshoot the limit — pending invitations don't consume seats until accepted).
Beta: payment waived, limits still apply
While the beta is on, you can pick any plan on /pricing and it applies instantly — no checkout, no card. Beta waives payment, not limits: a Free account stays at 1 workspace with 3 projects, a Team account gets Team limits at $0. Your billing page shows your plan with a "Beta" tag while this is active.
As the end of beta approaches you get critical countdown notices — in-app and by email — telling you to pick a plan and add a payment method; reminders continue through a short grace window (currently 14 days) after the end date. Once beta billing ends, accounts without an active subscription run on Free limits. Nothing is deleted: your workspaces, sources, and history all stay; anything over the Free caps is simply grandfathered (see above).
Upgrading, changing plan, canceling
There are two paths, depending on whether you already subscribe:
- Not subscribed yet — Settings → Billing → Upgrade plan takes you to /pricing, where picking Pro or Team (monthly or annual) starts a Stripe Checkout. The checkout accepts promotion codes.
- Already subscribed — Settings → Billing → Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where you switch plans, change the billing interval, update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel. Plan changes in the portal update your existing subscription — you can never end up with two. (If you click a checkout link while subscribed, Ploxir routes you to the portal for the same reason.)
Because the plan is your account's — not a workspace's — no workspace role is required; every user manages their own subscription. Checkout and the portal are hosted by Stripe: Ploxir never sees or stores your card details.
Canceling: cancel anytime from the portal. You keep your plan's limits until the end of the period you already paid for (the billing page shows "Cancels on" with the date), then drop to Free. Downgrading works the same way — and in both cases nothing is locked or deleted (see "Limits gate creation only" above).
Invoices, receipts & billing notices
Invoices and receipts are available in the Stripe customer portal (Settings → Billing → Manage billing) — past invoices are downloadable there. Billing notices go to the subscriber only (never to workspace members) and split by severity:
- Critical — payment failed, card expiring, cancellation scheduled, beta ending: always in-app and email. Missing one of these could cost you your plan, so they can't be turned off.
- Informational — receipts, upcoming renewals, refunds, plan changes: in-app notification only, no email.
If a renewal payment fails you keep your plan's limits through the period you already paid for — fix the card in the portal and the subscription continues.
Ownership transfer & billing
Transferring a workspace (see Workspaces & members) is also a billing event: the workspace immediately follows the new owner's account plan, and the previous owner's subscription stays on their own account, untouched. Two gates apply:
- Ownership can only be transferred to an existing Admin of the workspace — promote them first.
- The transfer is blocked if the recipient is already at their own plan's workspace limit — receiving a workspace counts against their allowance exactly like creating one. They need to upgrade (or free a slot) before taking ownership.
Deleting a workspace vs deleting your account
Deleting a workspace never touches your subscription — the plan belongs to your account and keeps covering the workspaces you still own.
Deleting your account (Settings → Security) is scheduled with a 7-day grace period and can be canceled anytime before it runs. When it completes, your Stripe customer is deleted too — which cancels any active subscription and removes your card and billing details from Stripe. Nothing billing-related survives the account.

FAQ
Who pays in a team?
The workspace owner. Their account plan sets the workspace's limits; invited members never pay and never need a paid plan of their own — even a Free-plan member works under the owner's Team limits inside that workspace.
What happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?
Open Settings → Billing → Manage billing and switch plans in the Stripe portal. The change applies to your existing subscription — you never end up with a second one. New limits take effect as soon as the plan updates.
What happens when I downgrade or cancel?
You keep the higher plan's limits until the end of the paid period, then the lower plan's (or Free's) limits apply. Anything already over the new caps — extra workspaces, projects, members — keeps working; you just can't create more past the cap. No data is ever deleted because of a plan change.
Is there an annual discount?
Yes — annual plans cost 10 months' worth for 12 months: Pro is $290/yr vs $29/mo, Team $790/yr vs $79/mo. Pick the interval with the toggle on /pricing or switch it later in the portal.
Do features differ between plans?
No. Every integration, unlimited sources and widgets, real-time updates, and history retention are the same on Free and Team alike. Plans only change how many workspaces you can own and the projects/members caps per workspace.
Do I need a credit card during beta?
No. Pick any plan on /pricing and it applies instantly at $0 — there's no checkout while beta is on. As beta wraps up you'll get advance notices — in-app and by email — to pick a plan before Free limits kick in.
Where do I find my invoices?
Settings → Billing → Manage billing opens the Stripe portal with every invoice downloadable. In-app you'll also see informational receipt and renewal notices in the notification bell; those are in-app only, never emailed.
What if my payment fails?
You get a critical notice (in-app + email) and keep your plan's limits through the period you already paid for. Update the card in the portal to continue; if the subscription lapses, the account drops to Free limits — with everything existing grandfathered, nothing deleted.
Can I use a promo code?
If you've earned a feedback discount it's applied automatically at checkout (highest tier wins, no stacking). Otherwise the Stripe checkout has a promotion-code field where you can enter one.
